All I Ever Wanted

I spent so long looking for a reason.
Trying to understand my heart.
Then you came into my life so softly.
And suddenly,
I knew where to start.
And maybe love is not a perfect story.
Maybe hearts get lost sometimes.
But every road I ever wandered, brought me closer to your light.
You were all I ever wanted. All I never knew I needed.
When I look into your eyes, I see the life I once dreamed.
If the world should change around us, if the road becomes unknown,
I don't need to have the answers as long as I'm not alone.
I can still remember that first moment.
When your eyes met mine across the room.
